"I have been with Agape Family Services since 2004 and am currently CEO. Educationally, I have a BS in Human Resources from Colorado Christian University, and MA in Christian Leadership from Denver Seminary. In 1997 I was called to be Pastor of Front Range Christian Fellowship in Longmont, CO. We are blessed to be in a position to provide services for all at risk people with the help of the faith based community and community at large."
Rev. Josh Walker
Safe Haven's Chaplain
"I believe that “church” should not be confined to four walls and one hour per week. Church is something we live out each and everyday as we minister to others in the name of Jesus Christ.
As the Chaplain of Agape, I serve the guests through Christian education and spiritual guidance.
I graduated from the Iliff School of Theology with a Master of Divinity and am an Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church. I have served at several churches on the Front Range and I have a great deal of education and experience in the areas of Theology, Christian Education, and Pastoral Care.
I have been married to my wife, Kelly, for 20 years. We have three children that keep us busy, smiling and proud."
Catherine joined the Board of Safe Haven in 2019. She brings a wealth of experience as she worked for many years as a business secretary. In addition to helping Longmont's homeless, Catherine also volunteers her time at the Longmont Humane Society and at RESTORE.
“I began volunteering with Agape in 2019 by preparing and sharing in meals with the guests and assisting them with resume writing.
I am a CASA with Voices for Children, Boulder County, and a member of Flatirons Community Orchestra.
I see Agape as a vital program that serves the local needs of people and an excellent ministry opportunity for local churches to demonstrate the love of Christ to others.”
In addition to his role on Agape Safe Haven's Board, Norm also runs The Manna Cafe. This incredible ministry of The River Church is Lyons is a "pay what you can" restaurant. Many guests from Safe Haven have been able to return to the workforce because The Manna tries to exclusively use Safe Haven's guests as cooks, dishwashers, and wait staff.
"I joined Safe Haven's Board in May of 2017 and by July I was hired as Communications Director. In addition to my duties as Church Administrator at Erie United Methodist Church, I am currently working towards a Marketing Certificate from San Diego State University. I believe very strongly that the Body of Christ here in Longmont has an obligation to our homeless brothers and sisters to show them the love, grace, and mercy of Jesus Christ."
